Desirability
This bow deals more damage than any longbow you could enchant yourself (barring a holy wrath or electrocution brand). The unimpressive accuracy and minor hit to evasion do little to stop this from being an excellent ranged weapon.
History
The vorpal brand will be replaced with penetration in 0.14.
