Constructs a frangible shell of reinforced ice in a half-circle around the caster, pushing creatures out of the way to make space for it, if possible. This barricade is durable, and whenever a segment of it is destroyed, will fracture into a salvo of icy projectiles launched at whatever destroyed it. If the caster strays too far away from their barrier, it will melt rapidly.

Splinterfrost Shell is a level 7 Ice/Forgecraft spell that constructs 4 splinterfrost barricades in a semicircle around the caster, pushing creatures out of the way, which fire a bolt of ice if destroyed.

Useful Info

Creates 4 splinterfrost barricades. If a barricade is destroyed by a creature, it launches a piercing bolt of ice aimed at the creature that destroyed it, stopping if it would hit an ally.

The barricade's HD = 10 + pow/20. Damage of bolt = 3d(8 + HD/11).

Moving more than 2 tiles away from a barricade will cause it to melt.

Strategy

A primarily defensive spell, you can use it to create space and kite. It can combo with spells that want an adjacent space to be cleared, such as Hellfire Mortar, Ozocubu's Refrigeration, and Permafrost Eruption.
