Term "decimal place"

I am not that of a skillful english writer, so I wanted to question, if somebody knows a better term for describing the mathematical situation of 0.23 for example, which I implemented just now while updating the page to the "new" attack delay numbers (like two or three versions ago it changed). If somebody knows a way of describing it in an understanable way, I'd be pleased. Everything else on this page should now be correct and up to date.Aargxl (talk) 20:19, 12 December 2015 (CET)

recommended size of skill training

As a tengu you have two auxiliary attacks (beak and talons). So you should eventually train Unarmed Combat. Does it really make sense to put Xp into this slot? And to what extent? Train up to skill 3 or 5 or...? Anyone out there who'd share own experience or hints at code knowledge about this? The text up to now contains nearly nothing about this topic. -- Bwijn 15:23, 3 July 2013 (CEST)

I forget which version it was that made the switch, but from at least 0.12 onward Unarmed Combat only improves the performance of your unarmed punches. Beak and talon attacks are unaffected. Therefore, don't touch the skill unless you plan on boxing your opponents. --MoogleDan 15:32, 3 July 2013 (CEST)
Okay, thanks. Do you think that auxiliary attacks are of no concern and of constantly the same damage output? -- Bwijn 16:05, 3 July 2013 (CEST)
Not at all! Auxiliary attacks have their uses even if the damage is light and rarely ever increases. Claws inflict bleeding, headbutts slightly slow the enemy, hooves penetrate AC, and they all inflict damage. Any species with auxiliary attacks is better off in melee than any species without them, all other things equal. They're like a free slaying bonus. --MoogleDan 17:23, 3 July 2013 (CEST)

Off-hand punch w/two-handed weapon

Is it still the case that only shield-wearing negates an off-hand punch? I mean, wielding two-handed weapons still permit that attack, no? Buddy23Lee (talk) 16:50, 18 May 2016 (CEST)

Both shield and a two-handed weapon stop the off-hand punch, as does missing a hand. Octopodes can always use the punch (source1 source2). --Medar (talk) 10:17, 19 May 2016 (CEST)
