A fruit is a vegetarian food item which provides X nutrition when eaten. Alternatively, it can be used to fuel several of Fedhas Madash's abilities.

When eaten, you receive one of the following messages:

Apricot: That apricot was delicious! Bilberry: Mmm - a full handful of bilberries! Breadfruit: Mmmm... Yummy breadfruit. Choko: That choko was very bland. Date: Mmm - a full handful of dates! Dragonfruit: Mmmm... Yummy dragonfruit. Durian: That durian smelled terrible... but tasted delicious! Gooseberry: Mmm - a full handful of gooseberries! Guava: Mmmm... Yummy guava. Lemon: That lemon was rather sour... but delicious nonetheless! Lychee: Mmmm... Yummy lychee. Orange: That orange was delicious! Even the peel tasted good! Peach: That peach was delicious! Plum: Mmmm... Yummy plum. Rambutan: Mmmm... Yummy rambutan. Raspberry: Mmm - a full handful of raspberries! Snozzcumber: That snozzcumber tasted truly putrid! Strawberry: Mmm - a full handful of strawberries! Sultana: Mmm - a full handful of sultanas! Tomato: Mmmm... Yummy tomato. Watermelon: Mmmm... Yummy watermelon.

The message received has no actual impact on gameplay.

History

Prior to 0.15, there were individual items for each of the following fruits: apple, apricot, banana, choko, grape, lemon, lychee, orange, pear, rambutan, snozzcumber, strawberry, and sultana. The differences between these items were fairly minimal, and they quickly bogged down player inventory, so they were condensed into a single omni-fruit for convenience's sake.
