Hey Rast, why did you remove that bit about the freezing brand possibly being preferable against draconians in the [[dragon slaying]] article? Do enemy draconians no longer get slowed by the freezing brand? Draconian Slow Effects Gone?
Hey Rast, why did you remove that bit about the freezing brand possibly being preferable against draconians in the dragon slaying article? Do enemy draconians no longer get slowed by the freezing brand? Admittedly, Wyrmbane is a fantastic weapon, but unless that aspect of the game was changed, I don't see why removing that was necessary. --MoogleDan (talk) 19:53, 19 March 2015 (CET) Because it was bad advice. "Although a weapon of freezing may be preferable." You might as well say a wand of frost may be preferable.
Against a pack of draconians (and they are usually in packs), it's better to kill them more quickly than to slow the one you are fighing while the others beat on you at full speed.
Against a single draconian, there could maybe be an argument that a freezing weapon is better than a vanilla dragon slaying weapon -- except that the only dragon slaying weapon left in Crawl is Wyrmbane, which is ridiculously good. So a mention of the effect of cold on draconians doesn't belong on the page.
