Name Ring mail
Size to wear Small, Medium
Armour Class 5
Encumbrance rating -2
Maximum Enchantment +5
Grants nothing
Time to Wear 5

A leather suit covered in little rings.

Ring mail is a body armour one step heavier than leather armour. It is generally not that useful, although its interference with spellcasting is small enough that some light users may prefer it. Even so, there are usually better options unless one finds a ring mail, artefact or otherwise, which grants a needed resistance. Ring mail does have the advantage that it can be made corrosion-proof through enchantment, although this alone is not usually a reason to choose it over a leather armour and an amulet of resist corrosion.
