Can I get a second opinion on any of this? To be completely honest I've never actually beaten dungeon crawl so I'm not exactly qualified. Most importantly:
- Any more tactics?
- When is the right time to pick up plate armor/large shields?
- What jewelry is preferable?
- Any input on weapons?
- Magic builds. Marginally useless, or completely useless?
- Ideas for transitioning an early game character into a late game one?
Thanks. --Petro 05:21, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I never got far enough to even think of magic, and equipment(armor and jewelry) I think axe or mace are best options for weapon, but I do want to comment on MdFi of cheibriados, the hardest part is building piety, I was going to die so I entered wizard mode, and once I got the peity up and boots, I was able to get things moving, and I didn't have to cheat other than ignoring death 3-4 times and stopping and dungeon. however, I am a new player and not the best with fighters, or much of any melee other than berserker. so I don't know how much anyone should listen to me
