| A magical armour made from the scales of a lightning-breathing storm dragon. It is heavier than most dragon scale armours, but gives its wearer great resistance to lightning discharges. |
Storm dragon armour is a heavy suit of armour made by enchanting a storm dragon hide. It provides the same protection as a plate armour, with a slightly lower encumbrance rating, while also giving electricity resistance.
Desirability
It's not the most useful of the dragon armours, since most characters who don't mind the heavy spellcasting and EV penalties would probably prefer crystal plate armour or gold dragon armour, while hybrid characters would likely prefer the lighter weight offered by fire, ice, or pearl dragon armour. The latter armours also provide more useful resistances: insulation is rarely critical, and most players can get by with potions of resistance if necessary. Storm dragon armour is not necessarily a terrible choice, but there are usually better ones.
