Engulf is a status effect which makes you unable to breathe. While engulfed, you are silenced, and take additional asphyxiation damage. Engulf ends when you move or when the engulfing monster is killed.
Only targets of the same size (or smaller) of the engulfer can be engulfed. Insubstantial monsters, jellies, and spiny monsters are immune to engulfing. Players that are unbreathing or amphibious are immune to engulfing. The slick slippers unrand also gives immunity to engulf.
Can be inflicted by:
- Water elemental
- Quicksilver ooze
- Players with the Engulf mutation.
