Striking is a level 1 Conjurations spell, but as it is only available through the Rod of Striking, its performance is dependent on Evocations. It deals up to 1d18 physical damage (affected by AC), but unlike Magic Dart, it has only mediocre accuracy and range. Increasing Evocations will raise accuracy and damage.

History

Prior to 0.10, Artificers could choose to begin with this rod in place of a wand, but even then its usefulness was limited.
