Shield of Resistance

This page refers to the artefact, which is not to be confused with any sort of mundane shield bearing a resistance ego.

A bronze shield, looking almost exactly like a tortoise's shell. It was built by the adherents of an obscure minor faith, who imbued it with the power of their god. As the god is said to, this shield protects against sword and sling, frost and flame.

Desirability

The shield of Resistance is a wonderful item for almost any character. Offering two very useful resistances and a magic resistance boost on par with a ring of protection from magic, it's hard to find a better option for your shield slot. Any character that isn't already committed to wielding a two-handed weapon should consider making use of this beautiful item should they find it.

History

• In 0.26, the shield of Resistance will provide two ranks each of fire, cold, and magic resistance.
• Prior to 0.15, this unrand had a +5 enchantment.
