Usefulness?

Is this somewhat obscure spell any useful? Maybe at least as means to buy time for escape by breaking LoS? But indeed the collision damage is damned weak and the confuses are very short-timed, the pull is just from a 2-tile radius towards the target. This smaller sibling of Singularity spell can't compete with other options. Just as Nicolae mused: "I get the impression that Gell's Gravitas mostly exists because "forced motion" and "collision damage" got implemented or improved for Singularity and someone wanted to see what other things could be done with them."
