A conical cloth hat.

Wizard hats are a form of head armour. Just like caps, they provide no base AC normally, but can be used by characters with antennae, beaks, or all but the largest horns and can be enchanted to +2. Wizard hats found throughout the dungeon are sometimes enchanted and may carry egos that boost intelligence or magic resistance.

The unique elephant slug Gastronok always carries a wizard hat which has a good chance of being enchanted or even an artifact.
