| This rod allows its wielder to fire powerful blasts of metallic shrapnel. It uses its own magic reservoir for casting spells, and recharges automatically according to the recharging rate.

The wielder of an iron rod may evoke it to cast the Scattershot spell, blasting a medium-sized cone for heavy physical damage. It can only be fired a few times before needing to recharge, and comes with a hefty hunger cost, but it excels at wiping out large hordes of enemies.
