| Reading the words on this scroll translocates you to a random position after a short delay. |
Reading a scroll of teleportation will cause the player to become "strangely unstable" and then teleport to a random location several turns later. The actual duration depends on several circumstances:
| Circumstance | Duration |
|---|---|
| Normal | 3-5 turns |
| In the Abyss | 4/5 chance to add 5-14 turns |
| Carrying the Orb | Outside the Abyss, adds 5-9 turns. |
Alternatively, you can read one while waiting for a teleport to kick in to negate that teleport and keep yourself in place.

Prior to 0.13 controlled teleports did not have a longer delay. In older versions, the Orb did not add time to teleportation.
