Brings the air into unnatural stillness across a huge area, preventing anything short of a tornado from breaking the calm. The effect takes concentration to maintain, and only lasts a short time; if the caster is killed, clouds begin to form again as normal.

Still Winds is a monster-only spell which prevents the creation of clouds, including through spells (Conjure Flame, Poisonous Vapours, Mephitic Cloud, Freezing Cloud, Corpse Rot, etc.), items (scroll of fog, wand of clouds), and environmental effects (such as the perpetual salt storms in the Desolation of Salt). It also removes all existing clouds from the whole floor. The player gains the -Clouds status for the duration.

Still Winds has no effect on Tornado.
