I just want to note that most people don't mention that finding an early Elven leather armor (or ringmail if one is an elf) also has a negligible to no impact on spellcasting. This can result in some early GDR which could come in handy as well as be a gateway to better light armors like troll armor without a period of casting penalty. --Chthon 07:52, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Due to finding a branded Elven ring mail, I've been able to wear a Pearl Dragon Armour in the end game of a three-runes one. So this piece of advice seems sound to me. --Palin 09:47, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
