It's also very, very old, maybe even pre-DCSS; to be honest it's something of a legacy spell. When did the knowledge bots get updated with that?? I don't remember seeing "melee" anywhere before... Is this part of 0.11.1? Anyway, as for consistency, I'm looking through the list of categories now and this appears to be the complete list of "list of spell" related categories (ignoring the Magic School-related ones):

- Look at the entry for brimstone fiend. It's a pretty rare spell, much rarer than cantrip; I actually can't think of any other examples right now.
