So, how's this cloak work, exactly? Does it have a 50% chance of developing a resistance to each of those elements individually? Or is it just a 50% chance of having a resistance to a single element? --spudwalt 06:19, 6 March 2013 (CET)

Every time you get attacked by any of those elements, there's a 50% chance that you are considered to have one rank of resistance more than you normally would to it. Have rF+ normally? There's a 50% chance that you'll treat fire damage as though you had rF++ instead every time you get attacked. This doesn't allow for rF++++ or anything silly like that though.
Due to the fact that the game technically checks for each of the elements whenever you get attacked, you have a slightly higher than 50% chance of getting rSteam if you had no rF to begin with (a weird glitchy thing that hardly matters because steam is still pretty lame). --MoogleDan 06:52, 6 March 2013 (CET)
So, if Nessos was shooting at you, you'd have a 50% chance of getting rPois and then a seperate 50% chance of getting rF+? --spudwalt 07:07, 6 March 2013 (CET)
Exactly. The lack of reliability's kind of frustrating, but if you're not concerned with preservation, it's still a very solid cloak. --MoogleDan 13:45, 6 March 2013 (CET)
