Talk:Fulminant Prism
I was somewhat stupefied by finding in 014a/trunk the fulminant prisms counted in my character log as "Vanquished Creatures (others)":
A fire giant (D:22) A yaktaur captain (D:26) 2 chimeras (Abyss:1) A redback (Spider:5) 2 ugly things 5 fulminant prisms

- Is this a bug? Seriously. Anyone out there who can logically explain fulminant prisms counted as creatures? -- Bwijn (talk) 22:24, 17 February 2014 (CET)
- That's how the spell works; it calls in a prism entity that then explodes after a couple of turns. Not entirely sure why they would end up in your logs, though; I'm assuming things like Orb of Destruction and Conjure Ball Lightning don't show up in logs, though I could be wrong about that. Maybe those prisms got detonated prematurely by monsters? --spudwalt (talk) 00:39, 18 February 2014 (CET)
- No, I checked a recent winning conjurer log. If you add up the fulminant prisms killed by the player and those killed by "others", you get the number of times the player cast the spell; the game I checked showed the player killing 2 prisms himself and 62 being killed by "others", for a total of 64 castings (which the spell use chart confirms). It seems they just show up in the logs, which is odd because IOOD definitely doesn't (harder to say on CBL, since finding a game where that spell was used is a little less trivial; also, ball lightnings can rarely generate on their own, in a few vaults). -Ion frigate (talk) 06:11, 18 February 2014 (CET)
