A particularly rich and golden gelatinous thing. A lump of the magical substance produced by giant bees to be fed to their queens.

A royal jelly is a particularly useful food which provides a whopping 5,000 nutrition, regardless of whether you're a herbivore or a carnivore. It thus provides as much nutrition as a meat ration at a lighter weight. In addition, eating it restores your damaged stats as though you had just quaffed a potion of restore abilities. As they are not subject to most forms of item destruction, they are often worth saving for this purpose.
