Using the clear template from NetHackWiki seems to help. Another option might be to make a separate template for monsters that have multiple spell sets. This might have to be done manually, but there are definitely not that many monsters that fall into that category. -Ion frigate 23:56, 23 January 2013 (CET)

I'd say this is a huge step up from our current state of affairs. Still, could we remove the "Spells: Lich" header? We're on the Lich page looking at the Spells section; it seems pretty redundant to me. --MoogleDan 02:44, 24 January 2013 (CET)

Apt table

So I guess this will allow us to keep one giant table of aptitudes and then we can insert little tables on each species page? What other things are you planning on trying with the new extensions? --Flun (talk) 20:14, 16 August 2013 (CEST)

The real gain is that this information will be in one place, instead of 4 or 5. Editing the Module:Table of aptitudes page will automatically change those values in a lot of places. I think we can do the same thing with the lists of spells we have in each book page or magic school page, and maybe the spell templates. All the information about weapons and armours can also be put inside Lua modules. --CommanderC (talk) 20:34, 16 August 2013 (CEST)
The new one-liner tables are awesome. What is the procedure for updating the aptitude tables when a new version comes out? Do we/you just have to change Module:Table_of_aptitudes?--Flun (talk) 01:01, 2 September 2013 (CEST)
  1. Use {{subst:...}} in Sludge Elf, Traps and Stabbing, so they don't get affected by other changes.
  2. Overwrite Module:Table_of_aptitudes with Module:Table_of_aptitudes_trunk.
  3. Replace Sludge Elves with Lava Orcs, Djinn and Gargoyles in Module:Apt.
  4. Remove Traps and Stabbing from Template:Species_aptitudes.
