This form doesn't seem all that bad, now that I've looked at it. I mean, sure, you can't run away from things, but I generally hate doing that anyway. Plus, this form looks like it's good for smashing things. I imagine at least a few monsters are going to have self-inflicted death by tree form when 0.12 comes out. :Depends.  I can imagine that it'll be very advantageous against early single monsters with wands of polymorph other.  On the other hand, getting this inflicted on you by surprise in the middle of a crowd of draconians and dragons on Zot could be a very quick death, even with the increased HP and AC. -[[User:Ion frigate|Ion frigate]] 06:14, 26 February 2013 (CET)

::I've experienced it exactly once. Early game, an orc zaps me and I freeze up. An orc priest immediately enters my line of sight. I am slain by a divine lumberjack two or three turns later.
