Call Canine Familiar is a level 3 Summonings spell which summons one "h" glyph monsters to fight for you. Higher spell power results in a better canine and more duration. Possible summons are:
Strategy
Although, a hound is much faster than a crimson imp and will deal more damage, the real strength of this spell is the ability to summon a wolf. Once you can reliably summon a wolf, you should seriously consider training other skills, as the upgrade to wargs will not be as big.

Prior to 0.14 this spell could summon jackals and its summon cap was 3.
