Teleportitis is a condition which causes your character to involuntarily teleport at random intervals. These teleports can be affected by teleport control and differ from normal teleports in that they happen instantly and without warning. Because this may place your character in extremely dangerous situations, it is usually undesirable, and a good reason to avoid carelessly trying on unidentified rings. This status can be counteracted by an amulet of stasis or rare artefact weapons with the Teleport Prevention status effect.
There are three sources of teleportitis:
- The Teleport mutation (frequency and distance teleported rises with mutation ranks)
- Wearing a ring of teleportation (these normally generate cursed)
- Wearing or wielding an artefact with the *Tele property.
