Version 0.27: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
A purple glaive that was created by a mad god, and carries a curse which transforms anyone wielding it into a prune. Fortunately, the curse works very slowly, and one can use it briefly with no consequences worse than slightly purple skin and a few wrinkles. |
+12 glaive
Desirability
The glaive of Prune[1] is a straightforward enough artefact: a +12 vorpal glaive. The "prune curse"[2] on this weapon has no actual in-game effect, other than making Zin hate it. Most characters who happen to use two-handed polearms will find the glaive of Prune to be perfectly sufficient for winning the game. A fully enchanted, branded bardiche might outperform this weapon in situations where its brand can take full effect, but will require considerably more skill to use effectively.
History
- In 0.28, the glaive of the Prune will turn you into a prune (and take half damage) if you are incapacitated.
- Prior to 0.15, the glaive of Prune had a +4,+12 enchantment.
