Lightning Bolt is a level 5 Conjurations/Air Magic spell which fires a bolt of lightning, dealing less reliable damage than similar level fire and ice spells, but at longer range and with the potential to strike targets twice. By firing your bolt into a rock or stone wall, it will bounce back at an angle, dealing damage to everything it strikes along the way (see multizap for more details). Unfortunately, the spell creates a lot of noise. Unlike other bolt-type spells, Lightning Bolt doesn't lose any squares of range when it hits monsters.
Lightning combines well with Summon (air) Elemental; air elementals are immune to electricity, so you can sic them on a foe while zapping through them harmlessly.
