Breath is a status effect which prevents the use of breath- or spit- based attacks for its duration. It essentially acts as a cooldown timer for these abilities.
The following player abilities cause and are affected by Breath:
- Draconian breath attacks from being an XL 7 Draconian
- The Fire Breath attack from being in Dragon Form
- The Spit Poison attack from being a Naga
For players, Breath lasts for 1 + 1d10 + 1d(30 - XL) turns.[1]
Monsters may also gain the Breath status. Any spell with the breath flag is also subject to a Breath cooldown. Examples of breath attacks include dragons and ironbound convokers. For monsters, Breath always lasts for 1-5 turns.[2]
