An amphibious creature is one that is equally at home on land and in water, such as merfolk, sea snakes, and alligators:
- They have no penalty for moving or fighting in water (though they are still revealed if invisible in water).
- They can swim in deep water.
- They are immune to drowning / asphyxiation damage.
- If the player started out as an amphibious species, items are not lost when dropped into deep water.
Player species that are amphibious are Merfolk, Octopodes, grey Draconians, and Barachim.
History
- Barachim, a new amphibious player species, were added in 0.20.
