This spell uses the very forces that bind an undead creature together to inflict a great deal of damage on it. |
Dispel Undead is a level 5 Necromancy spell, and one of the most effective methods for fighting the undead. At max spell power, it deals up to 3d40 irresistible, unavoidable damage to an undead target within 5 tiles of you. Although it lacks smite-targeting and only affects one opponent, it is still tremendously useful for taking out single overwhelming undead foes.
Monster Version
Several monsters are able to cast this spell. While their spell power varies, it is always a significant threat to mummy, ghoul, vampire, or lichform players.
Dispel Undead can be cast by the following monsters:
- Ancient lich (3d40, which is less than the 3d44 caused by its range 5 Iron Shot)
- Shadow fiend (3d27)
- Gloorx Vloq (3d25)
History
Prior to 0.10, Dispel Undead was a level 4 spell.
