Stepping on this teleporter will send you to another room.

Teleporters are rare dungeon features which usually come in pairs. Stepping on one teleporter tile will instantly transport you to the other teleporter tile if there is one, and vice versa. Typically, one teleporter is readily accessible, if guarded, to the player. The other is relatively inaccessible and is located in a room of monsters or treasure or both. Caution is advised.

Teleporters that lack partners simply cause you to blink a short distance away.

Teleporters are not to be confused with teleport traps. They are not hidden, nor do they teleport you randomly.
