Talk:Scroll of summoning
Comment: To choose the same item name for completely different concepts - as described in the history section - is not a good but rather a confusing action. Nevertheless I take it as it is. To have a crimson imp and an ogre skeleton at D:6 XL5 is naturally welcome. But alas: "extremely rare" scroll. -- Bwijn 21:47, 10 May 2013 (CEST)
Monster use of Scroll of summoning?
As the screen shot example shows this scroll (?) is used my non-mage monsters to cast sth. like Shadow Creatures. I don't remember that I saw monsters use this scroll before. Should the monster use be added to the article text? -- Bwijn (talk) 17:42, 13 August 2014 (CEST)
Scroll not working?
While ID-ing scrolls I read that one and it did nothing, all I got was the message
As you read the scroll labeled XXXX, it crumbles to dust. Wisps of shadow whirl around you... The shadows disperse without effect. It was a scroll of summoning
What the hell? --Fingolfin (talk) 10:41, 31 July 2015 (CEST)
- Was there anywhere the summoned creatures could have spawned? I don't think summoning stuff works if there's nowhere to spawn things within like 2 tiles of you. --spudwalt (talk) 16:50, 31 July 2015 (CEST)
- To post screenshots, upload the image to the wiki first -- click "Upload File" on the left, then put it into an article like any other image.
- Unfortunately, I'm not sure why the scroll would've fizzled like that, but I don't use scrolls of summoning that often. --spudwalt (talk) 02:42, 1 August 2015 (CEST)
- Thanks Spudwalt, here it is :
As you can see it looks like a pretty normal use of a scroll of summoning... Well if anyone knows anything please tel me I'm pretty intrigued -- Fingolfin (talk) 10:24, 1 August 2015 (CEST)
