A potent alcohol, distilled in some dubious corner of the dungeon. Drinking it reduces the imbiber's accuracy, evasion, and spellcasting success for a while.

""If when you say 'whiskey' you mean the devil's brew, the poison scourge, the bloody monster, that defiles innocence, dethrones reason, destroys the home, creates misery and poverty, yea, literally takes the bread from the mouths of little children... then certainly I am against it."

-Noah S. Sweat, Jr. "If By Whiskey", 1952

Quaffing a potion of moonshine inflicts vertigo for 10-25 turns, temporarily reducing your to-hit, spell success chance, and evasion. There is no benefit to drinking this potion; it mainly exists to punish players for drinking unknown potions in combat. (Xom is mildly amused if you quaff an unidentified potion of moonshine, but it's hard to do this intentionally.)

Some entrance vaults for the Orcish Mines have several identified potions of moonshine scattered across them.

It is an uncommon potion.

You feel tipsy.
