| A cloth or leather hat. |
Hats are a form of head armour. They provide no base AC normally, but can be used by characters with antennae, beaks, or all but the largest horns and can be enchanted to +2. Hats can have the following egos:
- Intelligence (+3)
- Magic resistance (+30)
- See invisible
- Spirit shield
The unique elephant slug Gastronok always carries a hat which has a good chance of being enchanted or even an artefact.
