| A magical armour, made from the scales of a steam dragon. Although unlike the armour made from the scales of some larger dragons it does not provide its wearer with much in the way of special magical protection, it is extremely light and as supple as cloth. It will also provide immunity to steam based attacks. |
Steam dragon armour is the best body armour in the game that has no EV penalty. It provides much better AC and GDR than a robe, giving fragile casters some much needed durability without affecting their spellcasting. Unfortunately, they are rarely found as random loot, and their steam resistance intrinsic is mostly useless. Although rare, you can make a suit of this armour by using a scroll of enchant armour on a steam dragon hide.

Steam dragon armour's AC was raised in version 0.10 from 4 to 5.
