Hurls an exploding ball of negative energy which drains any living creature it engulfs.

Ghostly Fireball is a monster-only spell which behaves much like the Fireball spell, dealing heavy, unavoidable damage to everything caught in its 3×3 blast radius. Unlike Fireball, however, it deals pure negative energy damage.

The following enemies cast Ghostly Fireball:

Additionally, a 6 Demonspawn blood saint.png Blood saint's Legendary Destruction spell can result in a ghostly fireball.

History

  • Prior to 0.19, this spell dealt partially-irrestistable negative energy damage and healed any undead affected by it.
  • Prior to 0.17, Ghostly Fireball's damage partially bypassed AC.
  • Ghostly Fireball was added in 0.13.
