Being hastened will gradually give you [[magic contamination]], and the act of quaffing another potion to extend the condition adds 1 extra point. An enchanted beverage which speeds the actions of anyone who drinks it.

Quaffing a potion of haste gives the haste status effect, which causes your action delay to be reduced by 1/3 (i.e., 50% faster), for 1d40 + 39 (more) turns (max 79). It is excellent for both escaping dangerous opponents and dealing much more damage in combat.

Cheibriados blocks the haste effect. Formicids' innate stasis makes them unable to become hasted.

Normal: "You feel yourself speed up."
Already Hastened: "You feel as though you will be hastened longer."
