Summon Demon is a level 5 Summonings spell which summons a single common demon (tier-3 or -4) to do your bidding. While this can create some excellent allies such as smoke demons or sun demons, you may also wind up with less useful demon. On top of that, the demon may arrive hostile (higher spell power makes this less likely), so having Abjuration ready is advised.  Be aware that spell power does not give you better summons, merely more friendly and longer-lasting ones.

Such demons are manageable individually, but the variety of possible summons can cause issues if you leave the summoner to their own devices.
