Version 0.17: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
This page is about the various tengu monsters. For the player species, see tengu.
Tengu are a race of ferocious bird-men who are adept with all forms of combat, both physical and magical. They are most commonly found in the Depths.
Tengu Types
Q Tengu (monster) - Flimsy, spirited flying melee opponents.
Q Tengu conjurer - Potent spellcasters capable of causing accidental forest fires.
Q Tengu warrior - Beefier than the average tengu, but that's still not saying much.
Q Tengu reaver - Elite tengu who are dangerous in both physical and magical combat.
Unique Tengu
Q Sojobo - The king of the tengu and a peerless warrior, both with steel and with spells.
History
Prior to 0.13, only standard tengu and tengu conjurers existed.
