A suit of armour rumoured to have been created by enchanting the hide of a now-extinct species of troll. Whether the name rings true or is merely appropriated to add mystique is something of a mystery. The armour's innate powers of regeneration and magical protection, however, are hard to dispute.

The moon troll leather armour[1] is a huge upgrade over standard troll leather armour. Although it offers only moderate physical defense (though it remains light enough that it does not noticeably hinder spellcasting or stealth), its regeneration bonus totals to +160, or a whopping 1.6 extra HP per turn. The spirit shield and extra MP help increase both durability and effective regeneration, making it great for EV-based fighters.

Much like other wearable sources of regeneration, the moon troll leather armour requires attunement at full HP to begin functioning. Deep Dwarves do not regenerate, while bloodless Vampires and Ghouls only regenerate when there are no monsters nearby, so they will find this armour considerably less beneficial.

If you ever discover Lehudib's Moon Base, you are guaranteed to find the moon troll leather armour on the moon troll itself, unless it has already generated elsewhere.
