Useful Info

Halflings are rather non-threatening creatures that are extremely rare. If you see one, it's probably a shapeshifter or part of a vault.

Variant Halfling

You may encounter several young halflings imprisoned by kobolds in one particular early Dungeon vault. They will all be neutral toward you, and can be rescued by either destroying the iron grates locking them in or, more easily, destroying the plants and bushes around them. Doing so gives no real reward, however, except for the experience you'll earn by killing them yourself. You monster.

This lad has been caught by kobolds, and was meant to be roasted and eaten before you unceremoniously interrupted. Don't you have any manners? Didn't mommy tell you not to disrupt people from having a meal?

Tips & Tricks

Like most other monster variants of player races, halflings are mostly harmless unless they manage to find some decent equipment.
