A cloak of darkness grants the ability to invoke invisibility. As is true for any source of invisibility, this ability increases your hunger rate while it is active.
Tips and Tricks
It's by far the least useful cloak ego, since it provides no passive ability, and its active ability is duplicated by a ring, a potion, and a spell. Stabbers might use it until they find another reliable source of invisibility, but after that even a plain elven cloak is preferable for its stealth boost.
