Obsolete: This article refers to an aspect of the game which has been removed. It is retained for historical reference only.
Suppression is a status effect which causes all magic items to behave as their mundane counterparts:
- All brands and egos from equipment are negated - they have no functional effect.
- All evocables (rods, wands, magical staff melee) do not function.
- The effects of all jewellery are negated.
Enchantment, curse status, and base properties (damage, AC) are unaffected. Also, any negative effects from unequipping an item (vampiric, distortion) happen as usual.
Moths of suppression emit an aura of suppression, inflicting this status to anything inside.
