The viscous detritus of a thousand failed spells, surging forward with a speed that defies its towering size. Its very substance is a hole in the fabric of magic; enchantments find no purchase there and it leaches magical power from anything it touches like a dry sponge in water.

Useful info

Quicksilver oozes move fast and hit fast, with attacks that engulf and drain MP. They are commonly found in the Slime Pits but are occasionally found in the late Dungeon or Depths.

Tips & Tricks

  • Their engulf will effectively silence you until you move away (or kill the ooze). Try to avoid being surrounded by jellies when quicksilver oozes are in play.
  • Quicksilver oozes have decent evasion and are immune to Hexes, but have few other defenses to speak of and aren't very durable. Unavoidable damaging spells, wands, or evocables can take care of them easily enough.

History

  • In 0.33, quicksilver oozes will be renamed into void oozes.
  • Quicksilver oozes were added in 0.27.
