Quaffing a potion of magic restores 10-37 magic points, 9 + 3d28/3[1], strongly biased towards the middle values.
All Mage backgrounds (Hedge Wizards, Conjurers, etc.) start with a potion of magic in their inventories.
Strategy
This potion is quite rare and immensely useful for spellcasters.
If you can spare a few turns of confusion, potions of ambrosia can be used to regenerate MP instead, saving the more valuable potion of magic.
History
- In 0.18 alone, Pakellas gifted potions of magic to its followers.
- Prior to 0.5, the potion restored all magic points and had one in three chance of increasing max MP by one.
