Centaur bardings are a type of armor intended for centaurs to wear in place of boots, which do not fit on their horse-shaped lower halves. They provide more AC than boots in exchange for having a slight encumbrance rating, and can provide even more AC by being enchanted (up to +4). The only penalty derived from their encumbrance rating is the loss of 2 points of evasion. Centaur bardings don't affect spellcasting, stealth, unarmed combat speed, or melee accuracy. The AC bonus given by a centaur barding is not affected by their oddly-shaped bodies. Possible brands include:
Non-centaurs cannot wear centaur barding, though nagas have naga barding, a type of barding intended for them.
