Sundering

Version 0.33: This article is up to date for the latest stable release of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.

After you perform multiple consecutive attacks, its next attack will deal greatly increased damage and also cleave into targets an extra space away.

The sundering brand does the following:

• Every consecutive attack will store up power, releasing it on the 7th attack, dealing triple damage at higher accuracy, and with 1 more tile of cleaving reach.
• Attacking with something else, or doing anything else but attacking on your turn will cause the count to reset.

Sources

They generate naturally, on Axes, and can come from scrolls of brand weapon.
