Why the heck is the mimic description still version 0.9? I don't know any missing innovations to this monster class. -- Bwijn 15:12, 12 January 2013 (CET)

I've been holding off on changing that number simply because the article makes no reference to the other forms of mimic one can encounter. Once some explanation is included that you can encounter pathetic little ones very early on and horrible ravenous ones in the deeper areas, I'd say it's 0.12-worthy. Should we maybe make seperate articles for each of the different levels of mimics? Also, I found a "monstrous" mimic pretending to be the Orb of Zot in an entry vault, so I guess there's one more level we haven't covered yet. --spudwalt 04:12, 4 March 2013 (CET)

I've been thinking about this, and I kind of want to make a "List of..." disguised monsters? Not sure on the name yet. But something to incorporate both mimics and gargoyles, since gargoyles all share the same flavour text. Not sure if I should move golems into there too... --MoogleDan 05:16, 4 March 2013 (CET)

Mmm, I'm not sure gargoyles or golems would apply for that, since neither of them hide in plain sight the way mimics do (well, golems don't; I don't know about gargoyles). --spudwalt 07:00, 10 May 2013 (CEST)

Can normal mimics actually constrict you (as opposed to just holding you in place)? I let one beat on me for a while in Wizard mode and it never did. --spudwalt 07:00, 10 May 2013 (CEST)
