Obsolete: This article refers to an aspect of the game which has been removed. It is retained for historical reference only.
A chain mail made of pure gold.

Lear's chain mail.png A chainmail armour [with a randomized appearance]

-1 chain mail

Cursed
-3 dexterity
Prevents spellcasting

Desirability

Obviously none, although Lear's chain mail is nowhere near as bad as the robe of Misfortune or Folly. Unfortunately, you may find yourself stuck with it if you are trying on unknown randart chain mails. Always carry a scroll of remove curse when wearing unknown artefacts!
