the +9 scales of the Dragon King
Desirability
The scales of the Dragon King[1] are +9 gold dragon scales with an extra helping of willpower. While you can get better AC by fully enchanting mundane gold dragon scales, this armour's will bonus helps makes up for this, and finding the requisite scrolls of enchant armour to actually create a set with superior AC is a substantial and time-consuming investment. Any character that doesn't care much about EV or spellcasting, or is subject to considerable armour limitations (e.g. ogres and trolls), will find this armour incredibly useful.
